Alexandre Linhares is an associate member of The Club of Rome, Director-General of the Brazilian Chapter, and an associate member of tt30.

He is currently a professor of management science at Getulio Vargas Foundation's Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration.  His Ph.D. degree was obtained in 2001, in Operations Research, from the Brazilian Space Research Institute, under Dr. Horacio Hideki Yanasse.
